Press Corporation Limited (PCL) on Wednesday bade farewell to one of its longest serving executive managers, Pius Mulipa, who has worked for the dual-listed group for 39 years. PCL board chairperson Patrick Khembo hailed Mulipa, saying he stayed for a long time at PCL because he was humble and a hard worker.
PCL Group chief executive officer Matthews Chikaonda described Mulipa as a good strategic planner who was sent on almost impossible tasks but managed to do the job well.
In his remarks, Mulipa, who joined PCL in 1977 as a management trainee together with 43 others, narrated his 39-year journey in PCL, sharing with the audience some of his low and high moments of his career.
“I have learnt to never make any decision in anger for it will be extreme or foolish in the end. Good people can also make mistakes, so be rounded before you condemn anybody,’ he said.
