Patrick Willie Khembo

Mr Khembo chaired the board’s Risk Committee until his election as Chairman. He is an Agronomist,
having graduated from the University of Malawi with a BSc in Agriculture. Until his retirement from
Chemicals & Marketing Company Ltd (CMCL) in 2015, Mr Khembo was the Managing Director and
principle shareholder of CMCL. He has previously served, and continues to serve, on several boards
in the private as well as public sectors

Andrew G Barron,

Mr. Barron is a farmer and the Managing Director of Mbabzi Estates Limited and Lincoln Investments (Pvt) Limited, a position that he has held since 1989. He also has a number of other business interests and is a director at Malawi Property Investments Company Limited, New Capital Properties Limited, Capital Developments Limited, Auction Holdings Limited, Seed-Co Malawi Limited, Malawi Leaf Company Limited, Tobacco Investments Limited, Agricultural Trading Company Limited and Plantation House Investments Limited. He is an alternate Councillor at the Tobacco Association of Malawi.

Mr Ngalamila is the Executive Secretary of Press Trust. He joined Press Trust on 1st September 2003 and has served the Trust in various capacities within the operations department. As Head of Operations he was responsible for managing the strategic interests of the Trust. He was appointed Executive Secretary on 1st November 2017.  He holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (B.Acc.) degree with distinction from the University of Malawi. He is also a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA). He is a duly registered chartered accountant (CA) with the Malawi Accountants Board and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Malawi (ICAM). He is also a chartered company secretary with the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).

Mr Ngalamila has over the years served as director on the boards of a number of companies and organisations, including Press Agriculture Limited and Continental Holdings Limited (CHL). At CHL, he also serves as Chairman of Continental Asset Management Ltd. He has previously served as a Technical Committee Member (Director) of the joint UNDP/ Press Trust GSB Pro-Poor Revolving Fund.

Mr. Nsomba is Finance Director of Old Mutual Malawi Ltd since 8th May 2017. Prior to joining Old Mutual, he was Regional Manager for Africa Finance Transformation at Standard Bank Africa Head Office from 2005 to 2017.

Mr. Nsomba has worked extensively in the banking industry, having served as Head of Finance at Standard Bank Malawi from 1996 to 2005, and Head of Finance at National Bank of Malawi from 1994 to 1996. He sits on various boards in the public and private sectors.

Mr Ben Chidyaonga is a chartered architect and the Managing Partner of The ABC Design Architects , an architectural firm he established in 1996. Prior to setting up his practice, he worked in the civil service at the Ministry of Education where he served under the Projects Implementation Unit as Project Architect. Later he served as Deputy Project Manager responsible for overall management and implementation of building projects funded by the World Bank and the African Development Fund. Between 1988 and 1992, he worked in the United Kingdom with a London based firm called Integrated Design Architects as its Project Architect. Mr Chidyaonga served as a Trustee of Press Trust from 2002 to 2016. He is also a member of several professional bodies including The Royal Institute of British Architects, Malawi Institute of Architects, and Board of Architects and Quantity Surveyors in Malawi. Mr Chidyaonga also sits on various boards and currently chairs the board of the National Construction Industry Council of Malawi.

Mrs Nuka is a chartered accountant with extensive experience in financial management and accounting. She is a life coach and founder of EWN Consulting & Training, a consulting and coaching firm that specializes in providing consulting, training and coaching services for corporations and individuals on financial management, leadership and principles of success and transformation. Prior to setting up EWN Consulting & Training, she worked as Head of Finance and Administration and Director of Finance for the following organizations: Christian Health Association of Malawi, Malawi Revenue Authority, National Seed Company of Malawi and PSI/Malawi. She also worked as an auditor with Price Waterhouse. She has over the years served on several boards including Mandala Limited, NBS Bank, Electricity Supply Corporation, Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority and Pakachere Trust. She currently sits on the boards of United General Insurance (UGI), and Francis Pilau (Mtengowanthenga) Hospital.

Dr. George B. Partridge

Group Chief Executive & Director

Dr. George B. Partridge was born on 22nd May 1963. He was appointed Group Chief Executive on 1st November 2016. Prior to this, he was the Chief Executive Officer of National Bank of Malawi, a position he held from November 2006 to October 2016. Before that, he served as Head of Treasury and Finance, General Manager and Deputy Chief Executive Officer having joined the Bank in 1994. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked in various capacities at the Reserve Bank of Malawi for 11 years rising to the position of Director. Dr. Partridge was instrumental in the formation of the Institute of Bankers of Malawi, where he served as its first President. In his own right, Dr. Partridge has over the years served on a number of private and public sector boards and national economic advisory committees. Currently, he is Chairman of Malawi Airlines Board and he is a Council Member of The University of Malawi. In recognition of his achievements and service to society, he was awarded an honorary Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Leadership and Management in 2015 by the University of Malawi.

Mr John Biziwick was born on 13th June 1958. He joined the Group as Group Operations Executive-Designate on 5th October, 2015. Prior to this, he worked as Commissioner General of the Malawi Revenue Authority from June 2012 to July 2014. Before joining the MRA, Mr Biziwick worked for NBS Bank as the Chief Executive Officer from 2002 to 2012 and as Deputy General Manager (Operations) from 2000 to 2002.  Mr Biziwick began his professional career in the Reserve Bank of Malawi which he joined in 1980 as an Economist. From 1980 to 2000 he worked in various departments including the Research and Statistics, Foreign Exchange, Exchange Control, and International Operations.

Mr Mhango is the Chief Executive Officer of Press Trust. He joined the Trust in 2004 as Head of Operations and was promoted to his current position on 1st April, 2014. Prior to that, he worked as Operations Manager of Indefund Limited. He is an economist with extensive knowledge and experience in financial services and general operations. By virtue of his position with Press Trust, he sits on the boards of several companies in which the Trust has invested. In his own right, he is currently a member of the Economics Association of Malawi (ECAMA) where he serves as Treasurer General. He is also a Rotarian, being a member of Rotary Club of Bwaila in Lilongwe.
